Patricia decided to close Penny Arcadia in the mid-1990s a little while after the death of
her husband. She resisted selling the collection over the intervening years. A few years
ago Greg met Pat, and they got along very well. She soon found that Greg was interested
in keeping the bulk of the collection intact. Greg brought the collection to Pasadena (Los
Angeles), and has been adding to it ever since. He still refers to it as the Penny Arcadia
Collection of English Machines.
