IDEAS, TOO, FADE
Remember that "Great Idea" you had for a brand new game? The flippers
weren't going to flip. The bumpers wouldn't bump. In fact, the game was
so different, so revolutionary that, when you told some of your operator
friends about it, they laughed. So what did you do? Yep, you forgot all
about it. Tossed it right out of your mind.
Could you revive that idea today? Could you put it all together again?
Describe it like you did that first time when it was so sharp, so clear in
your mind you could actually see the playing board, visualize every turn
and twist of each ball that dribbled down the play field?
Just because your friends didn't like it, doesn't mean it wasn't a
really "Great Idea". Why not let the long experienced factory engineers
look it over? Maybe the game, as a game, is no good. But, just one idea,
just one little unit you conceived, may be the next "flipper", the next
"bumper", the next "Great Idea" to bring an entirely new and revolution-
ary game into being.
Don't hide your idea under a bushel basket. Tell it to the people who
are eager and anxious to hear from you, the big factories. Whether it's
a music, amusement or vending idea, don't bury it. Remember - ideas, too,
fade.
