SHAFFER'S $10,000 PARTY
Shaffer's $10,000 Open House Party took place on March 4 at Shaffer Distributing Company's
new building, 1100 Yest Third Ave., Columbus,Ohio. Over 650 operators from Ohio, Kentucky
and West Virginia are reported to have toured Shaffer's new 65,000 sq ft headquarters. Over
$10,000 in merchandise door prizes were given away during the grand opening hours.
Founded in 1929 by Estel E. Shaffer, now retired, Shaffer Distributing Co. is now
headed by Edward E. Shaffer, pres., Bernie Flynn, executive v.p., Chuck Farmer, V.P.,
Marketing; Steve Shaffer, V.P.,Sales; Dick Gilger, Columbus branch mgr., and Jim Wilson,
Cleveland branch mgr. The firm has 60 employees and serves operators in Ohio and parts
of West Virginia and Kentucky.
Top execs of the following factories attended the gra nd opening: Rowe, Bally, Chicago
Coin, Gottlieb, Midway, Ramtek, RMI, Litton, Mountain West, Gremlin, Valley, Atari, Brun-
