PAGE 2. JULY 30, 1975
Just a bit more than a year away, on July 4, 1976, comes what all Americans believe
will be, "The greatest birthday party in all the history of this great nation." Its
200th birthday. The Bi-Centennial of this country.
Every village, every town, every city, every state, as well as the federal govern-
ment, have been and still are hard at work to present to all Americans, to all visitors
from all the world's countries, the inspiring, booming Spirit of '76 in entertainment
none will ever forget.
This July 4, 1975 will prove anti-climactic to the July 4, 1976 Bi-Centennial cele-
brations. Yet many cities will present forerunners of the celebrations and entertain-
ments this year that they plan for the entire year of 1976 with, of course, the one
great day, the grand climax - July 4, 1976.
Since 1973, "Marketplace" has continued to call attention to the forthcoming Bi-Cen-
tennial celebrations for 1976 to this grand industry of coin operated entertainment.
Pointed out that the music and amusements of this industry best fitted into all these
celebrations. Has continued to urge all in the industry to decorate machines - red,
white and blue. Has even offered awards for the best such designs.
Now, with just a year to go, is the time for this most outstanding entertainment
industry to prepare for wh.e.t can, most definitely, prove to be its greatest day in
all its history - July 4, 1976.
This is the time for all
industry's efforts to bring
celebrations that will take
the public. Gain for itself
to present ideas, thoughts, designs, suggestions for this
upon itself the greatest of glory during the Bi-Centennial
place all over the nation. Win for itself the acclaim of
the commendation of officialdom.
And, when all is said and done, where should all these suggestions appear? In what
better place than "Marketplace".
