AUCTION
^, G/7 Shapiro stands beside a rare Mills Roulette. Larry Lubiliner and
Bill Harris also take the opportunity to examine the machine in its original
condition. Below is a sampling of some of the fine slot machines and arcade
pieces. Below right is author Dick Bueschel in mid-sentence during his slide
presentation prior to the auction.
On
Tuesday
evening,
November 25, Christie's
held it's first antique coin
operated machine auc
tion. It was attended by a
small crowd of less than one hundred.
On
Sunday
and
Monday
preceeding the auction Richard M.
Bueschel presented a slide presenta
tion reviewing the history of many of
the machines which were auctioned
Tuesday
evening.
There were
machines of every description in
cluding a coin operated locamotive.
Another unusual piece was a shell
game.
A complete list of the lots and their
bids follows on the next page.
