Dear Governor Treen,
Recently it came to our attention that a proposed bill
to legalize the collection of antique slot machines was
vetoed. We were disappointed to learn this because 29
states have passed laws with reference to owning slot
machines and trade stimulators. We publish a monthly
magazine for collectors of antique coin operated
devices and also have nearly thirty books on the
subject. We would like to take this opportunity to
discuss with you the collectibility of slot machines and
trade stimulators.
The early production slot machines are unique and
fascinating works of machinery. The mechanism is a
marvel of simplicity and yet full of mind puzzling
intricacies. Many people today derive a great deal of
pleasure from taking the machines completely apart,
