Dear J.J;
The Jennings LITTLE DUKE/DUCHESS Guide No. 55 is a
good 4 or 5 months awayfrom printing, so you'll have to waitfor
that one.
But. . . Guide No. 41 for the Jennings OPERA TOR BELL is
at the printer, although it'sfairly well down the line. Flljust bet
it'll be ready by the end of the year. It isn't for the JACKPOT
model—that'll come next year—but it is for the "Dutch Boy"
and "Dutch Girl" versions, so it isn't too far away.
Cheers;
Dear Phyllis;
Thanks for the subscription and, yes, the Jennings VIC
TORIA can be a rare machine. But it depends on the model. The
1931 "Peacock" model is illustrated and described in the volume
1 "An Illustrated Price Guide to the 100 Most Collectible Slot
Machines" (although the price on this machine has just about
tripled since this first volume was issued) and the "Art Deco"
model is in the volume 3 edition of this series which isjust about
ready for the printer. So, depending on your machine, you'll
probably want one or both of these guides.
Also, Coin Slot Guide No. 42 for the Jennings VICTORIA,
all models, is just around the corner and will probably be
available within the next three months. You'll certainly want
that.

Editor, Coin Slot
I am enclosing snap shots of two machines for your easy
identification. Picture (1) is the top view of a slot machine
console model or floor model. It has FAST TRACK painted on
top. Seven players could play at one time. Payout is in middle
front of a nice cabinet. The handle on coin head is missing. There
is no identification inside or out.
Picture (2) and (3) are pictures of a real nice mahogany
cabinet marble machine. It has nine white and one red marble.
Nickel operated and no names inside or out.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Charlie Ball
P.S. I have sent several colored pictures of FAST TRACK to
dealers around the country. Most will not even show the

Jennings DUTCH BOY-DUTCH GIRL yet? If so I will send
you a check for it. I also need a guide for a 1928 10c Pace
JACKPOT.

of those rare and rarely seen middle 1930s consoles and asked us
what it is. We werejust as stumped, so we bucked the request to

Dear Charlie;
Easy identification, eh?
Well, you finally asked the right people.
What you've got is ... a terrific machine! It's the Western
Equipment & Supply Company FAST TRACK, a truly unique
and somewhat over-complicated all-electric console that was
introduced in March 1937 with a lot offanfare and major
advertising. Six months later it was off the market, so it seems it
could be cheated with ease and the customers caught on. So, as
consoles go, it's a rarity.
The exciting part about the Western FAST TRACK is its
"Moviegraph Action". As the console plays, lightsfor the horses
flick on and off moving the horsesfrom upper right to thefinish
line at lower left. The horses seem to move right along in a race.
