Frink of Howell, Michigan and
Dave Evans of Cincinnati
feel they h;ive solved another problem for slot machine restorers —
some first class fortune reel strips.
All collectors have smiled
at the humorous gems of wit on these strips — such as "You'll
fall in love - with a wealthy old maid - with a shiny bald head"
but they lamented the poor condition of these forty year old
strips.
Now, you can replace those dim, darkened strips with
brand new ones that match the originals.
Frink and Evans have reproduced four sets of reel strips as their
first venture into repro "paper items" for slots - the Jennings LB-
83, which is a ten stop style; the Mills CC-319; the Pace Comet
fortunes which match Mills SP-1,2,3's; and a set of original Pace
Bantam Strips (not fortunes) which match ten stop configuration.
The strips match original colors very closely, and are printed on
buff "tag stock" for toughness, then coated with varnish for dur
ability.
The buff color gives them an "old look" yet symbols
show up well.
Additional items are planned, and shortly they will have available
