NOTICE!
In order to make The Coin Slot as interesting as possible, I would like to ask those
readers who would be willing to submit articles and pictures of mechanical machines
of historic interest as well as written accounts of restoration. I would also like to start
as a regular feature a tip section, informing others of useful hints and where to acquire
needed parts, pieces and tools.

The cover montage depicts the Victorian Casino Antique Auction held in Las Vegas,
Nevada May 1st and 2nd and I might add the weather was very ideal. The auction fea
tured nearly every conceivable collectable imaginable, among which were beautiful
upright wheels of fortune, carved polk figures, counter games, arcade items, back bars,
large American Photo Player as well as the numerous coin pianos offered for sale,
from common A. pianos to elaborate orchestrations. Also included was an assort
ment of silent movie projectors and a large assortment of film, old movie posters,
an assortment of juke boxes and a collection of Edison Cylinder phonographs. Watch
for news of the next auction to be held in October of this year.
