new ones. I once got a Q. T, Slot that had 2 gears stripped in the Clock due to
a broken piece of key jamming the operation. Cotter keys are cheap. Stripped
gears are expensive.
9. When you finish using a can of spray paint, instead of inverting the can to
clean spray head, remove the head and drop in a small bottle of laquer thinner
and shake to clean. This method saves paint and always gives you a clean or
ifice.
10. Neatsfoot oil is the correct lubricant for all leather, not 3 in 1 oil. If you'r
having trouble with the air cylinder in your Slot, it's probably because it's dirty
and incorrectly lubricated. Very few cylinders are ever maintained because they
have to be removed to service and this is a major job.
