Load er is designed primarily for an open
body pick·up tru ck. ow in use by several

dealers in Los Angeles, it ha s also been
install ed on a closed van body for Automatic
Sales Co. of La Angeles and Bakersfi eld.
While th e Loader is customa ril y bolted
into place on th e s id es of the pick·up
tru ck box, for a van body tru ck installation
two brackets are bolted in ide the end of
th e van to th e frame of th e tru ck. TIll"
Loader is th en bolted to th ese brackets and
operates in th e usual way. Wh en close d, the
platform fold s up inco nsp icuously, bl ending
with th e lin es of th e tru ck. Due to th e mas·
s ive cross chann el whi ch ti e th e Load er
into one integral unit, tb e platform is rigid
enough to serve as ca rri er for a n ex tra
machine.
