few squawks from listening customers at
the 'start but business is so good, the firm
has added two collectors to their staff,
making ten. Many location spots are crying
for the dime play. Pin ball units of all
kinds have been arriving and have been
placed at the rate of 10 to IS a week. The
firm has also received 100 Wurlitzers and
200 remote control units during the past six.
months. The average take has dropped, how-
ever, from $16 to $18 a week to around $12.
" Everyone of our 30 locations where dime
play has been installed has shown an in-
crease in play, double or one-third better
than the nickel slots."
Gordon Talmage, Fairway Distributing
Co., reported that Pat Moore, Mo-Kan
Amusement Co., of this city has taken on
Solo tone. The firm has established a sub-
studio in the Kansas City Power and Light
Building. Operator Coughlin and wife, Mid-
west Amusement Co. of LaCrosse, are now
installing Solo tone' units in their territory.
Roy Pittman, Star Music Co., has just
returned from a business trip spent on the
East Coast.
Harry Silverburg said that operators
calling on the W-B Music Co. favor the
Seeburg plan of model changes every two
years and that they favored five-cent play.
Silverburg enjoyed the visits of the follow-
ing operators: K. D. Smith; Coin-O Amuse-
ment Co., and Chet Troyer, Troyer Amuse-
ment Co., St. Joe; Pat Huston, Cassco
Amusement Co., Garden City; and Tom
Swartz; Shawnee Vending Co., Topeka.
