chines, weighing machines-this show will
have everything. No matter what is upper.
most in your mind to see, it will be on dis-
play along with many other things of one
lQnd and description that you probably are
not yet familiar with."
Gilmore states that CMI has a list of pro-
spective exhibitors who are neither members
nor former exhibitors that were not solicited
because there was no more exhibit space to
offer them. "This is deeply regretted," CMI's
secretary-manager said, "and can only be
rectified by holding the 1948 Coin Machine
Show in a location that can provide room
for ALL who wish to display."
James T. Mangan, director of CMI's Pub-
lic Relations Bureau, declares that "The
Coin Machine Industry hasn't had a ,com-
prehensive look at itself since the Coin
Show of 1941. Everyone has stayed in touch
with everyone else through personal visits,
letters, advertising, and the publications of
the Industry. Yet, good as that contact has
been, we all yearn for a good old-fashioned
get-together in the Sherman Hotel, where
under one roof the latest offerings of the
oldest and newest manufacturers, the styles,
features, and attractions of 1947 coin-oper-
ated machines will all be placed together in
one spot in the biggest show Chicago or the
world ever knew.
"For that show is a panorama of the
whole industry; of its manufacturers, dis-
tributors, jobbers, and operators; of its
products, its purposes; of its nature, its hu-
manness, its economic justification."

Coin Machine Show to' be .Biggest,
Liveliest Trade Convention in U. s. A.
By Dave Gottlieb. President
Coin Machine Industries. Inc.
Never has a coin machine show been
more eagerly awaited than the great con-
vention of our Industry in the Hotel Sher-
man, February 3, 4, 5, 6. In the past, we
were always a little uncertain-right up to
a week before opening--on just how big
arid universal the show might be and- we
had space available right up to show time.
This time it is totally different. More
than two months before opening day we
found ourselves entirely sold out of exhi-
bition space. All indications presage an
attendance of at least 12,000 operators.
Our program this time will be more com-
plete than ever before, and every visitor to
Chicago during coin machine week will
