Keeney Plots Program
CHICAGO-"Our one and only job to·
day is .. to put that extra punch into our
war production that will hurry victory and
peace," states J ack Keeney, president of
J. H. Keeney & Co., Chicago, manufac·
turers of radar and special training eq uip·
men t for the U. S. Navy, the Army Air
Forces, and for large prime contractors.
The Keeney organization of 500 war work·
ers has been going a t top speed for four
years, producing a hu ge volu me of war
goods and generally ahead of sch edule.
Present fac tory is at 6610·30 Ashland
Avenue.
T he entire plant occupied by Majestic
Radio & Television Co. at 2600 West 50th
S treet has been purch ased by Keeney for
still fur th er expansion of war pro ductio n
and after war for continued growth in coin
machines and other lines. T he move to the
new location is planned for so me time in
1945. I n addition to tb e new factory,
Keeney has plans already completed fo r
th e erection of a new office 'b uilding, and
postwar sales headquarters, 'and a separate
engineering building ( the fi,st of its kind
among coin machine manufacturers)' T he
new plant will afford more than three
times the space and manufacturing faci l·
ities of th e present Keeney fac tory.
