NEW YORK - Al Blendow· has been
picked by the nominating committee of
Arcade Owners Association and persuaded
to accept the offi ce of president for a third
term at a meeting held here on November
16th.

Smith and Bernard Katz se rved on the nom -
inating committee and pi cked the follow-
in g, all of whom agreed to run: Louis Fox,
first vice-president; Sam Holzman , second
vice-president; F. Mc Kim Smith, third
vice-president, and Bernard Katz, treasurer.
Al Meyers was selected for recording sec-
retary and Mrs. Marion Webster for corre-
sponding secretary.
Harry Freedman, Pueblo, Colo., was
named as a ca ndidate for post of AOA
regional .d irector. Others included Morris
Hankin, Atlanta; Ken C. Wilson, Chicago;
Joe Ash, Philadelphia, and Meyer Wolf,
Atlantic Ci ty.
AOA expects to hold a get-together meet-
ing for members so metime in January.

here. When hi s transport unit halted in
an Italian town one young Yank soldier
glimpsed a pinball machine in a half-
ruin ed building. Taking a chance, he left
his jeep and soon was pulling the plunger.
He had hardly started, however, when a
German battery opened up on the town. The
soldier hu ggea the Aoor until the barrage
ended , then went out into the street.

only a shell crater.
