BOXES AND CABLES
Cable has been one of the headaches
since the war as some of th e jobs going in
now have to be installed wi th more than
one make of cable. The Trouble Shooter
believes it would be a good thing to list
the codes of these cables so the service man
can be sure as to which cables are used in
the installation.

The Trouble Shooter has . a'. letter from
J. Edward Smith of Oklahoma City in re-
gards to a circ uit to r edu ce needle scratch
to be applied to the pick up circuit of the
machine. W e have done some research work
on this as the input from the pick up is so
low that when you get enough resistance
a nd induction in the circuit to get any r eso-
nance from a variable condenser you reduce
the output from the pick up so much that
your volumn on the machine is too low. We
will do more research and when we find a
circuit that works OK will inform you of
same.
