Rosen Recruiting Aide
PHILADELPHIA - Raymond Rosen,
head of the Victor distributorship for the
Eastern Pennsylvania territory, has been
appointed Civilian Recruiting Aide for the
Signal Corps of the United States Army
and will help in enlisting men from the
coin machine industry, radio and other
communications and technical industries.
Harry Bortnick, Philly correspondent for
THE REVIEW, has been appointed to assist
Rosen in enlisting men who would shortly
be drafted and placed in units where their
abilities and knowledge would not be as
beneficial as in the Signal Corps. In this
branch of th e service promotions are rapid
once the capabilities of the individual have
been established.
The Phonograph Operators' Association,
the Servicemens' Association, Motion Pic·
ture Operators' Union, Electricians' Union
Los Angeles. Calif,
and other similar organizations have all
agreed to cooperate with Rosen and Bort-
nick. Lieut. S. D. Distelhort will supervise
the activity from his office at the Customs
House, 2nd and Chestnut Streets.
Says Bortnick, "Contact me now at the
Rosen Co., or contact J ack Cade of the
P honograph Operators' Association if you
desire to enlist in the Army Signal Corps.
Do it now! Your country needs your help
immediately. Help yourself advance in the
field you are the most familiar with and
help bring closer the day of final victory."
