fan and A. K. Ly.ons laid it .on the line f.or
cycles. Bu t their enthusiasm eDDIed rather
quickly. After a few rides in a drivi·n g
rainst.orm with.o ut windshield pr.otecti.on,
R.oumm decided it was far less expensive
t.o walk than t.o reserve a r.o.om in the pneu·
m.oni·a ward. Steffan's few .odd mustache
hairs were t.ossed int.o c.omplete disarray by
the whistling winds, thus ruining what lit·
tIe pers.onal appearance he still retained,
while Ly.ons re·.opened an .old rupture
when his machine fell .on him. After view·
ing the tragedies befalling his friends, C.on·
servative B.ob Walker purchased a bicycle.
