CHICAGO.-When Henry McLemore,
syndicated columnist writing under The
Lighter Side in hundreds of dailies, on No-
vember 24th, suggested that now was the
time for the Trading Post idea to spring
into use, little did he know that the Buck-
ley Trading Post was already functioning
and perfectly serving the Coin Machine
Industry.
Said McLemore: "It seems to me-and
I have gone into the matter as thoroughly
as anyone can- that there is a crying need,
or at least a whimpering need, in this coun-
try for the return of the trading post_"
Buckley brought the Trading Post to the
Coin Machine field almost with our declara-
tion of war on the Axis and since then it
has been the satisfactory buying and sell-
ing place for hundreds and hundreds of
coinmen.
LOS ANGELES - Commenting on the
first year of business since establishing an
office in the West, Bill Happel, of Badger
Sales, stated: "We have been most pleased
with the consideration we have had from
operators during the past year. We have
endeavored at all times to give them the
acme of service, and, despite freight priori-
ties and the like, we have tried to make
deliveries as rapidly as possible. We ap·
preciate the consideration and kindness the
operators have bestowed upon us . • . all
of which only spurs us on to do bigger and
better things and to obtain the best of
values for the operators in our territories."
Both offices of Badger in Los Angeles
and Milwaukee are well stocked with parts,

elected President of the organization for
the coming year. The league is composed
of a membership of 1400 show people and
show owners throughout the United States.
It is the largest organization in show
business.
Nelson formerly held offices of 3rd, 2nd,
and 1st Vice President of the Showmen's
League in 1934, 1935, 1936 ... prior to his
connection with Rock-ala •.. but passed
up opportunity of becoming President at
that time because of pressure of work.
The League boasts of many coin machine
men among its members.
