THE WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER-
Another inspired ballad, the work of
Walter Kent and Nat Burton, this one
is a number one plug song and ha s
already been waxed by Kate Smith,
Ka y Kyser, Sammy Kaye and others.
Has solid chance of becoming a Hit
Parade leader and ops shouldn't over-
look it in the machines.
BLUES IN THE NIGHT -
From
Warner Brothers' pic of the same title.
Woody Herman has the best version,
on Decca. with Artie Shaw, Victor, and
Cab Calloway, Okeh, runners-up.
Clever novelty song with a cute vocal.
Looms a s a swell het for coin machine
popularity.
