of the showroom, a 40-foot ti er of shelves
for new and used records has been in -
stalled. Directly at th e rear of th e show-
room, two modern offices for the conven-
ience of operators and executives have
been constructed, while th e shop fa cilities
are quartered in th e basement, which ex-
tends the full length of the store de pth
and provides a rear. entrance for incoming
a nd outgoing shipments.
Scotto's entrance into the music busi-
ness took place about 4 years ago, at
which time he built up a route in Sacra-
mento and other Valley communities, com-
prisin g between 60 and 70 phono graphs.
These . locations are still operated, al-
though many of them ar.e being converted
into Buckley installations.
Last year, Bill Corcoran, Pacific Coast

some deliberation, Scotto decided to in•
stall a group of 7 Buckl ey Wall and Coun-
ter Boxes in one of his locations.
The immediate increase in profits made
him decid e to a pply to Bill Corcoran for
the distributorship of Buckley Music Sys-
tems in th e Sacra mento Valley. The dis-
tributorship appointment was granted him
last November.
An interesting phase of Scotto's opera-
tion is the fa ct tha t he has developed a
plan wh ereby operators may trade in used
records as a part down paymen t on a
Buckl ey installation. Operators who are
interested in this trade-in plan may r e-
ceive full details by addressing letters to
D. B. Scotto, 919 10th Street, Sacramento,
California. The new headquarters will re-
main open each evening until 10, for the
convenience of operators.
