A Scotch storekeeper's show window,
to the surprise of his brethren, was sud-
denly adorned with a gorgeous new
blind.
"Nice blind you have."
"Yes."
"Who paid for it?"
"The customers."
"What, the customers paid for it?"
"Yes, I put a little box on my counter,
with a sign, 'For the Blind.'"

NORTH TONA WANDA, N. Y. - The
"3 10", a new remote control multi-selec-
tor, has been placed on the market by
the Rudolph Wurlitzer C ompany, ac-
cording to a report coming from the
factory early this month.
The unit is actually built to music
merchants' specifications, it is claimed.
In order to obtain all the information
needed for the new unit, the Wurlitzer
Company conducted an extensive field
s urvey. Walter Reed, Service Manager
of the concern, and Fred H. Osborne, of
the Wurlitzer Engineering Department,
traveled more than 10,000 miles inter-
viewing music merchants and location
owners from coast to coast.
"Actual location problems were
checked to ascertain what requirements
s uch remote control mechanis m should
fill," officials state. "Out of this exten-
sive survey the Wurlitzer company has
developed the '310'. It is expressly de-
signed to lit any location and to aid
music merchants in increasing location
earnings by making full selection from
the Wurlitzer Automatic Phonograph in-
stantly accessible from anywhere in the
location.

lucent plastic base panels in the unit
which provide ample illumination to
