Of 'Planetellus '
Gratifies Evans
CHICAGO-According to Ray Moloney,
president of Bally Manufacturing Com-
pany, the new Planetellus machine has been
in the process of development for more
than 5000 years. "And this," Ray insists,
"is literally true, for the most important
feature of Planeteilus-the reason why it
attracts aU classes of people, why it gets
a constant repeat play and takes in big re-
turns weekly-is the amazing accuracy of
the readings, which, in turn, is due to the
fund of astrological knowledge which has
b.ee~, piling up for the past fifty centu-
rIes.
"Astrological records dating back to 3102
B. C. have been found in India, and from
that date to this the human race has never
lost its interest in the mysteries of the Zoo
diac. Countless people place absolute faith
in astrological character analysis and fore·
casts, and even those who do not bel ieve in
Astrology find it intensely fascinating and
entertaining. Planetellus utilizes the find·
ings of astrological scientists through the
ages and delivers an individualized, per·
sonalized reading for any birthday in tht'
year."
LOS A GELES--Eleven cents per pack
i. the price standard brands of cigarettes
are now being offered for in the major
chain drug stores throughout the city.
Slash in prices started on the same day
of the Supreme Court decision ruling the
codes unconstitutional. Previously cigarettes
had been retailing at straight 15c or two
packs for 25c.
If the practice continues it will no doubt
cause a serious inroad on the business of
selling cigarettes through automatic equip·
ment at 15c per pack.
CHICAGO-Officials of H. C. Evans &
Co. were exceptionally gratified by the re-
sponse from recent advertisements on Kings
of the Turf in THE REVIEW and other pub-
lications for the coin machine industry.
John 1cMahon, sales manager of the Evans
organization, reports that they have received
many letters from jobbers and distributors
in all parts of the country thanking the
company for this outstanding publicity on
the game.
Kings of the Turf, they say, has been well
worth waiting for, and they are shipping
the games out as fast as they are received
from the factory.
Kings of the Turf is said to be a pin ta-
ble that will have an exceptionally long
life. Four horses cleverly race around a
track. They are advanced by dropping the
balls into the various skill holes on the
board. Several award systems have been
devised to suit the requirements of the lo-
cations.
Kings of the Turf embod ies many new me·
chanical and electrical features. The game
has a new electrical automatic ball coun-
ter that indicates the number of balls
played. Another feature devised for the
comfort of players is a rubber snubber on
the coin chute. These and other devices
are responsible for the Evans claim that
Kings of the Turf is one of the most pre·
cisely tooled games ever made.

iceman, and we owe the grocer eight dol-
lars!"
Eldridge Gouthro, Jr. reads THE REVIEW
to keep his operations up to the minute in
New Waterford.

N. Y. Licensing Halted
Pending Appeal Case
NEW YORK-Licenses on pin games
are being held up here pending settle-
ment of the appeal case. License Commis·
sioner Paul Moss explained that his de-
partment had been criticized for issuing li-
censes until the operators' case is decided.
