Gottlieb's New Machine
Is Merry-Go-Round
entitled "Notice of Infringement";
that these so-called "Notices of In-
fringement" bore at the top thereof
a legal venue and were circulated by
Callison for the purpose of causing
the petitioner's customers to believe
that they were some form of legal
process authorized by a court of
competent jurisdiction; that unless
the plaintiff Callison is restrained
from intimidating, embarrassing and
harassing the petitioner and the pe-
titioner's customers and users and
operators of the petitioner's ma-
chines, including those hereinbefore
mentioned in its and their business
of amusement-game apparatus and is
restrained from carrying out threats
to sue the petitioner's customers, the-
petitioner will be irreparably dam-
aged and its business of amusement-
game apparatus forever demoralized
and destroyed.
A hearing in the petition has been
set for September 7 before the Dis-
trict Court of the United States for
the Western District of Oklahoma at
Oklahoma City.
It is reported that two large manu-
facturers of amusement-game appa-
ratus located in the Middle West have
instructed their attorneys to file
damage suits against the Dean Nov-
elty Company, of Tulsa, Okla.; Wil-
liam E. Callison and Callison's back-
ers, charging them with conspiring to
damage the business of those manu-
facturers.-Reprinted from The Bill-
board, issue of Sept. 1.
CHICAGO-D. Gottlieb & Co. an-
nounce that on September 15th their
jobbers and distributors will display
for the first time a sensational new
game called Merry-Go-Round. The
development and manufacture of this
game at the local factory has been
shielded in utmost secrecy because of
the unique features embodied in it.
While the game was in the process
of development, one of the largest
operators of amusement machines on
the Pacific coast visited the factory
and was shown the working model.
So confident was he that this ma-
chine will be a winner that he did
not hesitate to place a substantial
order for several hundred machines.
Sol Gottlieb Company, local dis-
tributors for products of D. Gottlieb
& Co., state that Merry-Go-Round
will be on display on their showroom
floor on September 15th.
