With a little study you can, through
the use of easels and display racks,
greatly dress up the appearance of
your counters. Chas. A. Brewer &
Sons, the leading punch board manu
facturers, have recognized this for
some time and as a result have in
vented a collapsible easel for their
boards. These easels when unfolded
make the board stand upright on the
counter—taking about one-third the
space occupied by the board when
left flat. When the easel is used the
board attracts more attention and
creates bigger sales. These easels can
be folded up against the board when
it is not on display and as a result,
boards equipped with easels require
no extra space when carried in stock.

the organization will cooperate with
them in seeing that no jobber or dis
tributor is allowed to handle their
products, who will not maintain the
operators regular retail price.
“Good luck, Dave Bond, and to
your associates who have the courage
and foresight to take the merchandis
ing of coin-operated machines out of
the “racket” class and to put it on a
strictly merchandising basis.”
“It would seem that some manufac
turers are under the misapprehension
that the purpose of the N. A. D. A.
is in the nature of a monopoly with
the power to discriminate in favor of
one manufacturer over another. My
impression, however, is entirely to the
contrary. In fact, as I understand it,

Jack Keeney, of Keeney & Sons,
Inc., expresses the opinion that the
creation of the National Automatic
Distributors Association represents an
important step forward in correcting
many evils now existing in the distri
bution of coin operated machines.
“As I understand it,” said Mr.
Keeney, “the primary purpose of this
organization is to eliminate the price
cutting of machines by irresponsible
so-called jobbers, and to place the
marketing of coin operated products
on a business-like basis to the end
that the legitimate jobber shall make
a real profit and that the manufac
turer’s product shall not be made a
football by those dealers whose only
sales method is to offer a machine at
less than the established sale price.
“This will, of course, tend to
strengthen the position of the legiti
mate jobber so that he will eventually
be. a stronger selling asset for the
manufacturer. The character of the
present members of the new associa
tion is such that they should merit the
confidence and cooperation of the va
rious manufacturers. Under the able
guidance of David S. Bond and his
associates, I predict a rapid growth
of the N. A. D. A. and that within a
very few months the manufacturers
in this industry will be quick to ap
