Labor Day parade. Pictures

Tired of skinned knuckles and
sore backs, Detroit housewives
who have no washing machines
of their own are turning to coin­
operated machines, according to
W. R. Palechek, manager of
Coin Meter Detroit Co., wash­
ing machine operators. Pale­
chek reports a boom in this kind
of business.
