Lemke to Manage
Large Routes
Plans for the operation of 1,000
amusement machines in Detroit and
surrounding area were revealed by
H. C. Lemke of Marshall-Lemke, Inc.
while visiting manufacturers in Chi
cago this month. It will be recalled
that Mr. Lemke formerly supervised
extensive routes of machines before
the firm of Marshall-Lemke, Inc. was
formed. At that time all operating
activities were discontinued. An addi
tional two-story building which ad
joins their present property on Wood
ward Avenue has been rented to take
care of this expansion.

Lemke for again entering the operat
ing end of the business, and he
pointed out that they would apply to
all jobbers and distributors. The
jobber who operates can create a
market for machines in his territory
by testing the new releases which
operators hesitate to buy. This aids
the manufacturer. The operators
benefit because they can buy the new
machines with full confidence and
pass up the lemons. Operating aids

so they’ll look decent when the fire
