utes we formed a national tern-
porary committee to arrange
for a meeting within sixty days,
of delegates from every proper-
ly organized association, called
for donations, and nearly $800
was laid on the writer’s desk
and credited for the temporary
committee to use in their work,
Many more pledges were made
to us, and checks are now com-
ing in. Immediately following
the closing of this open meeting
their committee sent their sec-
letaiy, Mi. Darling, to us, say-
ing that they wanted to help us.
We answered them that they
were pretty late but we would
give them their day once we had
a national organization.
Elsewhere in this journal you
will find an article telling you
where our National Temporary
Committee is located. The mem-
bers of this temporary com-
mittee are C hairm an Ralph

Vice-Chairman, Ladago, Indi-
ana, and Harry Drollinger your
writer, Secretary-Treasurer,
Texas. We have been in busi
ness for years. We are going
to help you boys to the limit of
our strength and finances,
The manufacturers have thir-
ty-one members in their associ-
ation, whereas there are sixty-
four legitimate manufacturers
0f vending machines in exist-
ence. So they do not have half
of the manufacturers in their
own association, and they tell us
that we are not organized. In
one hour after we raised our
fund seven large Chicago man-
ufacturers had appeared or
sent representatives to our com-
mittee, who said that they were
with us and wanted us to carry
on» that they were back of us,
and that the show next year
f^ou^ be put back in the place

Now Brother Operator if you
want some voice in how you
conduct your business, if you do
not want the man that sells you
your product to tell you what to
do with it after you have, bought
it, get on that telephone right
now, call the influential opera
tors in your community; tell
them “Let’s go, let’s organize.”
If you are organized, then,
“Let’s help these three com
mitteemen that are giving their
time free to fight for us, our
support. Send the best delegate
obtainable to the national meet
ing when it is called. Let’s end
forever circularizing of our lo
cations, selling them in many in
stances; giving our competitors
jobber prices, so they can fight
us with high commissions.”
Give us your wholehearted
moral and financial support. So
we beg of you, get busy tonight;
let’s get our territories open,
regardless of what you operate.
Let’s protect ourselves not only
