meetings more often than in the past.
Dinner and beer were served to members
without charge and this policy should stimu­
late attendance at all future meetings.

“Babe” Kaufman Visits
Chicago by Plane
“ Babe” Kaufman buzzed into town the
other day, and Chicago manufacturing
circles have been buzzing ever since. She
arrived Wednesday evening aboard the
fastest plane that flies between New Y ork
and the W orld’s Fair. A ll who knew she
was coming were on hand to meet her.
N ow that fast plane business might seem
a novelty fo r most folks, but it is a matter
o f routine to the charming “ Babe.” She
does things that way. Time is all impor­
tant to her. She does things in a way
that has amazed the trade. Speed and
precision in all matters of business. That’s
“ Babe.”
And the Bally Manufacturing Co., who
are included among these folks who have
been amazed by all this, have most willingly
opened up new trails fo r her to blaze with
her pace-setting methods. They have ex­
tended her territory from New Y ork to
include Pennsylvania, New England, New
Jersey, etc.
The “ Babe” reciprocates by making that
famous order fo r 2,500 Airways look silly
in comparison with the order she writes
out fo r Bally’s new numbers. This in spite
o f the fact that “ Airw ays” are still going
strong.
It is reported that Groetchen T ool Com­
pany has also fallen under the spell o f
“ Babes” charms and have given her the
exclusive eastern distribution rights fo r
their line o f machines.
Yes, she took the same plane back to
New Y ork after spending only three days
in Chicago. But, say, what she can do In
three days.
