popular as a convenient form of con­
fection at a popular price.
The m anufac­
turing confectioners are pushing the sales
of candy by intensive programs of adver­
tising and educational publicity.
The re­
sults are already showing in steadily in ­
creasing sales of candy.
Fortunately, can­
dy bars lend themselves readily to vending
by machine.
The nationally advertised
five-cent bars have already won steady cus­
tomers and the public is simply w aiting for
a more convenient system to purchase these
bars than w aiting for a clerk.
