to vend metal tokens for street railway systems, also for inter-
urban tickets according to a zone system, indicates that here is
a chance for the development of a machine to meet this need.
From an Australian firm comes the inquiry for a machine to vend
tickets on a zone railway system. The company would be willing
to make metal tokens similar to our nickel and dime to operate
these machines, if they can be had to dispense the ticket. A street
railway system in an American city wants a machine to vend three
metal tokens for twenty-five cents, these machines to be installed
on the cars. We have had similar inquiries previous to this, and
Mention them in our editorial columns for their suggestive value
to inventors and manufacturers.
We Are In Our N ew Home
Before the November issue of A u t o m a t i c A g e reaches
our readers, we will be in our new location at 2810 South Michigan
Avenue. We have purchased our own commodious building which
amPly meets our present requirements, and also allows for gener
ous expansion in the future. A much larger press has been in
stalled in our new quarters, as well as other equipment that will
enable us to give better service to our readers. Disorganization
due to moving came right at the time the November issue was due
to go to press, and we are sure readers and advertisers will look
with leniency on whatever errors and delays may have occurred
during this period. We thank our friends for past courtesies and
have enlarging hopes of future service in the automatic field.
A Chance To Help
Many of the inquiries that come to our office are for
Products the manufacturers of which have either gone out of
business, or the firm has merged or changed hands. We would
like to suggest to our feaders to take a glance at the partial list
of the numerous inquiries that come to us, and if possible to give
us any hint or trail that will lead to the correct information, which
will be greatly appreciated. Some of these inquiries have already
been answered in full but we want our information files to be
complete and that is why we publish them.
