Those in attendance were President Shade, Secretary Grastorf
Messrs. Wagner, Zimmerman, Prange, Diehl, of Chicago,

A committee was appointed to visit the hotels of the city and

A letter was read from J. F. Goudy of Akron, Ohio, a veteran
j^rator and a member of the association, stating that he hoped
0 be present at the next convention, but was at present just recov-
from a prolonged attack of illness. The members asked
utoinatic Age to extend the best wishes of those present to Mr.
°udy and the hope for his eariy recovery.
A meeting was to be held at Des Moines this month for the
^I'pose of organizing an Iowa State Association. A pilgrimage
^ as also planned to Detroit to meet with the Detroit local for an
^spirational session and general good time.
Dates for the next convention are February 20, 21, 22, at Chi-
Ca8o. Both operators and manufacturers among our readers are
to put these dates down and keep them in front of them,
time is comparatively short, so make your plans to attend now.
Be sure to ask your ticket agent for a certificate when you
®tart for Chicago. Please don’t forget this and blame someone else
not being your personal secretary— you must do your own
inking. I f we get 200 of these certificates, visitors will be enti-
^ to one-fourth fare returning. W e can easily get 200 of these
^ertificates if everyone will ask for his certificate. Tell your agent
ttlat you are attending this convention and that you desire the
^suai certificate. He will understand.
