Some Money
We Went Collecting
I am twenty-five cents.
I am not on speaking terms with
the butcher.
I am too small to buy a quart o f
ice cream.
I am not large enough to purchase
a box o f candy.
I am too small to buy a ticket to a
movie.
I am hardly fit fo r a tip, but— be
lieve me, when I go to church on
Sunday, I am considered SOME
M ONEY!
Worth a Dollar a
Month
A staff reporter fo r The A U T O
M ATIC AGE .made a day’s trip with
Charles Hoffman, Chicago operator
recently, and saw how Charley does
it. Hoffman has a good route and
one that is growing. Am ong his ma
chines he has peanut and ball gum
venders, fortune machines, and other
novelty machines. W e don’t know
just how many is a day’s collection,
but we sure had more than a peck
o f pennies when we got through with
this string o f machines. Charley says
the slug evil is not as bad with him
as some people say it is with them,
and o f course we occasionally find a
dime and nickle which helps to bal
ance things, he says.
Enclosed find one dollar fo r which
send me your magazine fo r one year.
Have been operating coin machine
since 1906. W e started operating
back in the good old Dewey days. I
am sure any operator can easily get
a dollar's worth o f information out
o f your magazine.
