A W O R D T O OPERATORS W H O GOME
AS DELEGATES
The first thing to do on arriving at Chicago is to go to the hotel,
register and get a comfortable room. You do not necessarily have
to stop at the Great Northern Hotel because there are quite a num
ber of other hotels within two to five blocks walk. In fact any of
the loop hotels are good. I f you desire to be in the convention
hotel you had better write ahead and make a reservation. When
you get to the Great Northern Hotel, arriving as early on Monday
morning as possible, go to the fifth floor; oil that floor will be held
the great exposition. When you are not in the convention hall
spend your time among the exhibits. Lots of people will arrive on
Saturday and Sunday preceding the convention so' that they will
have time to get located before the convention sessions.
On your arrival at the fifth floor the first thing for you to do is
to register with the convention secretary, George A . Grastorf,
whose desk will be right opposite the elevators. By registering
you register only your attendance. You do not obligate yourself
to become a member of the National Vending Machine Operators
Association, You are welcome to attend the opening session of
the convention. You may hear the objects stated and the discus
sions, Then if it is your desire to join in the organization of oper
ators you will be privileged to do so. Please understand you do
not have to be a member now or later to attend the exposition or
the open sessions of the convention.
If you arrive after 10 o’clock Monday morning proceed at once
to the mezzanine floor where the operators sessions will be held
in the Crystal room. The exhibit floor will be closed from the
hours of 10 to 12 A . M. and from 1:3 0 to 5 P. M. You have the
early morning hours, at least an hour at noon after lunch, and
all evening to view the exhibits.
