Seize Slug Men
Scranton, Pa.— W ith the arrest o f
two Lucerne county youths, the local
police believe that they have practi­
cally rounded up the gang which fo r
months past has systematically oper­
ated slot machines here with “ slugs,”
while getting acquainted with the lo­
cation o f the devices preparatory to
stealing them.
In their possession the sleuths
found hundreds o f “ slugs” designed
to fit both 25-cent and 10-cent ma­
chines. One o f the men also carried
a file, which was used to smooth off
the rough edges o f the “ coins” when:
they failed to fit the slots.
