Several new motions were
passed, to-wit:
1. It was agreed that the presi-
dent and secretary be paid a weekly
sala ry as compensation for the work
they are doing.
2. Each member has to make out
an affidavit stating how many ma-
chines he operates. This was done
so that the assessments, which are
based on the number of machines
operated, could be justly billed. This
applies only up to a thousand ma-
chines.
Any operator, operating
over that number, is to be assessed
only for a thousand.
3. A motion was passed that all
complaints submitted to the investi-
gation committee shall be in writing.
4. A motion was passed that after
investigation of any complaint, the
guilty ope r ator shall be assessed $1
for the investigation and be given
three days to rectify the wrong. If,
at the end of three days, he does not
comply with the ruling of the inves-
tigation committee, a fine of $25
shall be a ssessed against him.
5. A motion was passed that if the
investigation committeer, after in-
vestigating a complain, finds that a
non-member has run one of our mem-
bers out of a location, the committee
will have the power to authorize our
member to offer up to 100 per cent
to retain that particular location.
This ruling was passed to protect the
members against non-members offer-
ing a higher percentage, thereby get-
ting some of our locations.
The association is getting many
new members and now represents a
total of 30 operators, controlling over
5,000 machines.
The .. arbitration committee, com-
posed of five members, settled twen-
ty-six complaints since the last meet-
ing.
One of our operators, the Pioneer
Novelty Company, who is also in the
jobbing business, submitted the fol-
lowing plan to the members:
1. Members of the association will
be privileged to purchase new ma-
chines of any tYpe handled by this
company at list prices, and they will
be allowed to return any of the equip-
ment purchased at such prices with-
in a period of six we·e ks from date
of purchase and will be allowed fif-
ty per cent of the original purchase
pric.e on an equal number of new
machines handled by this company.
2. Members of this association
who desire to purchase new machines
without intention of returnipg same
under plan number 1, will be allowed
a special discount of fifteen per cent
November, 1932
from list prices. Also members will
be .a llowed ten riel' cent discoun t
from list prices on all novelty mer-
chandise purchased from this com-
pany.
3. Members of this association
will be privileged to secure a loan On
their established route of machines.
Such loan to be made at appraisal
value and conditions of. this com-
pany.
Other operators, who are also job-
bers, will be given the opportunity to
submit similar plans if they so de-
sire.
Mr. Le·e Robinson, a representa-
tive of the "Billboard," was an in-
vited guest of the association. Mr.
Robinson gave a very interesting ten-
minute talk to the members which
was enthusiastically received.
He
stated that every li~e of business
should be organized and outlined
some of the many advantages of it.
He told the members that to be su c-
cessful they must work together. He
stated that the coin machine indus-
try today is a business representing
one-third million dollars and is still
growing.
In his recent travels
through various states, he found that
where the operato'rs were organized,
harmony and co-operation were prev-
alent.
The meeting adjourned with ev-
eryone in good spirits.

The Rock-Ola Manufacturing Cor-
poration is to be congratulated on
its services to the industry. Its pio-
neer work in the originating and
building of JUGGLE BALL is known
to thousands of operators all over
the world who are today profiting by
this unique game. The Rock-Ola Man-

interest in offering these three new
prize reward cards with each ma-

matic World, be both beneficial and
profitable to the operators.

New Type Prize Reward
Cards for Juggle Ball
Helping the operator to more pro-
fits is the rule of the Rock-Ola Manu-
facturing Corporation.
Not satisfied to sit back and en-
joy the tremendous success already
achieved in the sale of thousands of
JUGGLE BALL machines, the Rock-
Ola organization now announces
three new prize reward cards for
their game, JUGGLE BALL.
One card is for the weekly prize.
Another has some twenty-eight prizes
on it for which the players can shoot.
And a third combines a prize for
high scores as well as fo r spelling the
word J-U-G-G-L-E. This feature in
spelling the word J-U-G-G-L-E is
made possible by the fascinating and
exclusive automatic scoring register
that JUGGLE BALL has.
As every experienced operator
knows, the reward cards mean as
much to an amusement game as an
accelorator to an automobile.
So it goes without saying that the
new ca rds are sure to draw still
