PROBLEM
SoLIITION
Recently on a Friday evening, I
had taken a service call to a loca-
tion with a new Rock-Ola Legend
7000jukebox. The BG Mused for
sporting events was not working .
Before I left, I went back into pro-
gramming mode again. I was sur-
prised to find that the back-
ground volume level ( Quick Find
=#=43) had reset to 01. When ad-
justed back up to level 30 the
BG M was restored.
After determining that the amp
between a big screen TV and the
jukebox had shorted out. I gave
the location owner a ride to Ra-
dio Shack.
I called Rock-Ola on the follow-
ing Monday. They suggested that
a noise spike or surge from a
shorting amp may reset some of
the jukebox amplifier's program-
ming.
We returned and replaced the
location's amp to find that the
BG M still didn't work. I also had
the locations amp checked at
Radio Shack. It had no output at
all. I then checked the Rock-Ola's
programming (QyickFind=#=42) to
make sure the Aux BG M was on.
BorroM LINE
I like reprogramming better than
replacing amps. I hope this report
will save some time and money
out in the field.
