First, I'd like to take this oppor-

This month's column will cover
a few service and troubleshoot-
ing tips for some of our previous
models. These tips address prob-
lems experienced in our models
Anniversary Legend and below.
ACTION
Check RS0. It will be a 91 Ohm
2 Watt or, in later boards, a 62
Ohm 2 Watt resistor. Pre-amps
with the anti-hiss board tend to
overload this resistor due to ad-
ditional current drawn by the
anti-hiss board.

ACTION
Check or replace the cables
which connect the laser and in-
terface board. These are Rock-
Ola part number 56300-A and
56301-A. Over time the connec-
tors in these cables may oxidize,
which will cause intermittent con-
nections.

has solved most of his intermit-
tent CD M-3 problems by replac-
ing the cables. It was also re-
ported that a focus coil failed
because of a bad ground in the 5
