pected to attract an estimated
7,500 industry professionals in-
cluding a diverse cross-section of
owners/ operators, managers, dis-
tributors/ suppliers and manufac-
turers of commercial amusement,
music, entertainment and vend-
ing equipment at single, or
"street", locations (i.e., restau-
rants, bowling centers, bars & tav-
erns, clubs, etc.) as well as larger
venues such as family entertain-
ment centers (FECs), amusement
parks, shopping centers, etc.

ment and vending industry. The
event will be held on Thursday,
Friday and Saturday, Oct 23-25,
Georgia World Coniess Center.
AMOA is a non-profit trade as-
sociation comprised of some
1,600 owners/ operators, distribu-
tors/ suppliers and manufacturers
of commercial amusement, mu-
sic, entertainment & vending
equipment.

Facts and figures on the recent ATE/
show hel,d in London late January.
Exhibitors: 350 companies ex-
hibited their products at ATEI '97
exhibitors. Show was sold out. 74
exhibitors in Parks & Attractions
section in only it's second year.
Buyer Attendance: The number
of buyers at ATEI '97 was up 18%
to 17,952. Representatives from
103 countries attended with 8
new countries making their first
ATEI appearance.
International visitors increased
9.8% to a whopping 6,286. 1997
saw an increase of 42% in US
buyers attending the show. Spain
topped the foreign representation
with 576 visitors.
Biggest lift in representation from
countries with 50 or more buy-
ers were Japan, 68 buyers -up
4000/o on 1996 and Australia 98
buyers -up 1650/o on last year.
