With all tests passed, the LEDs
illuminate in the following se-
quence at power turn-on. The
1 PIA and +5v LEDs illuminate
immediately. Approximately 2>-second later, the PIA LED
goes out and the blanking LED
illuminates; the blanking and
+5v LEDs remain illuminated
: (normal operation) until the
1
game is turned off {see Fig. 1).
Test failures are indicated with
1 the PIA LED lit.

PROBLEM
Game resetting, free credits, and
bookkeeping problem in ver-
sions one and two.

SOLUTION
Mortal Kombat 3 has had many
EPROM updates because of
glitches in the program.
Version 1.0 had reset and coin
problems. Version two was devel-
oped to resolve these problems
ut created another.

As this happens, the player will
hold down the start buttons and
free credits will appear on the
screen.
At the same time what you had
adjusted in factor settings will go
to 50 cents to start, one to con-
tinue and your bookkeeping as
well gets reset to zero.

SYMPTOM
This is the symptom: You play
the game to the end and the
menu will scroll down. At the end
of the menu two warriors will
come out and face each other and
pose as if they were going to fight.
