PCBs are available at a very low
cost today from several vendors.
The income increased between
75% to 100% in my test game
during a state fair.
The most important thing here is
the longevity of these driving
games. The used Final Lap PCB
can then be used to update old
Pole Positions where the PCB has
failed. Spy Hunter cabinets are
wide enough to also update with
Final Lap PCB. It is wise to also
install new Happ steering assem-
blies when doing this.
LINK 'EM
I am considering also making a
pair of 27" sit down cabinets with
these PCBs. The Final Lap link
PCB works with Final Lap III. A
pair of Turbos 5D would also
work. Linking is the big feature
of Final Lap over many older
games. I am a strong believer in
doing these games as pairs.
FINAL TOUCHES
The final changes that should be
made is to:
• Update the coin mechs to
Imonex models -low mainte-
nance. (The coin slots are dedi-
cated so if one jams, you loose
half your game.)
• Installing new diamond plate
on the floor also makes the game
look much newer.

///is 1992.
