TECHNOLOGY
The US Amusement and Music
Operators Association (AMOA)
has announced participation in a
project to create a nationwide
interactive, digital multimedia
network. Beginning with a two-
state pilot, the association hopes
the network will eventually link
together 100,000 game terminals
throughout North America
within 3 - 5 years.
Konami Co. Ltd. has announced
that they have begun work on a
line of commercial game prod-
ucts that will employ the com-
puter graphics technology of
Sony Computer Entertainment
(SCE). The Sony technology had
been developed for use in con-
sumer video games. Konami
plans to release their first prod-
ucts next year.
The partners in the project are
National Amusement Network
Inc. (NANI) and EDS Corp., a
Texas-based information tech-
nologies applications firm. NANI
is jointly owned by the AMOA
and a Canadian company TV
Phone, Inc.
Konami has decided that the
quality of SCE's technology, par-
ticularly its computer graphics
and VR imaging capabilities are
best suited to it's needs and has
put it's own developments aside.
Konami is also planning to build
the equipment in its subsidiaries
in the US, UK and Germany.

It seems that people are quick to
write in to complain about a bad
experience with a company, but
never to give praise when a com-
pany responds promptly and ef-
fectively. So here's
a letter to applaud

I was having some

thrown.
SOLUTION
Finally, Juan told me he would
check with other Taito techni-
cians to see if someone might
know more about this game's
problem. Taito's

amp bridge that gets too
hot and is under-spec'd for
this application. The
bridge may, in fact, get so
hot as to unsolder itself.
SOLUTION
Remove CR13 and install
a 25 amp bridge rectifier
with a metal housing.
Wire it with 18 to 20
gauge. Remove R16 from
the main board.
