SYMPTOM
SUBJECT
Some Solitaire games will occa-
sionally not count a quarter when
inserted. Always works, however,
when the switch is activated by
hand.
I had a recent problem where a
capacitor came loose on the
12V de supply for the optos.
CAUSE
Timing problem between switch
and electronics.
SoumoN
If this occurs with your machine,
add a 0.1 mfd/25v capacitor to the
coin switch between the ~
mon and NLQ terminals. This
simple fix will correct this timing
problem.

The quickest way
to double your
money
IS to fold it over
and
put it back
in your
pocket.
NOTE
This change is being added to all
future machines.
SYMPTOM
The game showed a problem via
the flashing decimal point. In
switch test, the optos showed
good.
CAUSE
The reason is that during game
play the 12V is pulled down -
causing the problem to appear.
NOTE
In less than 2 months, Williams
will have a new test that will show
if several optos are bad. If this is
the case, the game will direct you
to the voltage problem.
