SUBJECT
Back in the early days of pinball, the only
function we operators would work with to any
extent was the% of free plays. Except for ball/
playing times, this remains the case with most
of today's operators.
NEW FEATURE
Until recently, very few of us looked at B.5
Histograms. I now feel that this is the most
important function one has to properly set up
one's pinball. With automatic % set and match r-,
set, the game times have become very impor-

tant! With auto%, I feel that B.514- 26 are the -
most important. If you manually% your game
1 - 13 may be more important.
CASE INPOINT
I had a case where a player put grease under the
front legs of my Addams Family. The number of
players playing over 10 and 15 minutes went
way up.
Another case, I was in San Clemente, CA a few
months ago and a player was on a Williams
Whitewater pin. I asked him how much money
he put in and how long had he been playing.
Answer: Over two hours and no money. The
game wasn't leveled properly. The game prob-
ably had 10% - 20% of the players playing over
10 minutes. The operator probably though it
was a poor pin.
