Remove CPU code in position
C5 and install new version

connectors which are for the
switches and two white con-
nectors which are for the mo-

Remove display code in posi-
tion U12 on the controller
board which sits behind the
display and install new ver-
~ion 5.00. Return old EPROMs
o Data East.

Go into the diagnostic tests by
using the green and black but-
tons on the lower left portion of
the cabinet right inside the
front door. Step to the T-Rex
test.

While in the T-Rex test place
the dinosaur so that it is clos-
ing the center switch. The dis-
play will tell you when that
function is done. To move the
Dinosaur left and right use the
flipper buttons, to move the
Dinosaur up/down use the
~tart button. When the Dino-
aur is down you will see 3
-screws holding the screened
plastic which is shaped like a
horse shoe. (See Figure 1).

STEP 8.
After unplugging the dino-
saur, remove the four 1/4" hex
head screws that hold the di-
nosaur to the playfield. (See
Figure 2). Then remove the

Removing dino collar, unscrew
the 3 screws and pull the
screened plastic away from the
assembly. While still in diag-
nostics return Dino to his up-
right position.

Lift the playfield up and slide
the pivot point toward you so
that you bring the bottom of
the playfield to it's highest po-
sition. This way you will be

game have dino facing you.
Remove molded chest plate
and front skirt by removing (2)
black screws (See Figure 3). At
the base of dino body you will

STEP 13.
Thread the shaft back through
the spring to the other opening
at the right side of the dino-
saur base.

Replace the "E" ring on the
right side of the shaft. Replace
molded chest plate and front
skirt.
STEP 15.
Now, we are ready to replace
the crank arm.

Remove "E" ring and 2 wash-
ers from the motor cam. (See
Figure 5) .
