~VILLIAMS DIAMOND PLATE
PLAYFIELD CLEANER
RECOMMENDATIONS
Evan Wessel
Mercury Amusement

SUBJECT
CAUTION
What's this I hear about Wildcat
playfield cleaner damaging the
Diamond Plate playfields in Wil-
liams & Bally pins?
If care is used around mylars
Wildcat works fine. Novus is re-
ally plastic polish and is usually
available through plastics supply
houses. Also, with many
cleanings Wildcat can cloud clear
ramps.
Williams recommends Novus
Plastic Polish, but neither of my
two distributors knows anything
about this product!
BEST OF BOTH
Personally, I carry both in my tool
box as the Wildcat is very good at
stubborn dirt areas.
~
Is this like the Ozone scare spt~cu-
lation or has there been proven
damage with petroleum based
cleaners?

RESPONSE

MYLAR DAMAGE
Wildcat will not
damage Diamond
Plate. The reason
we don't recom-
mend it is that it
can seep under
the mylar we in-
stall in critical ar-
eas of extreme
wear (such as jet
bumpers) and lift
the edges of the
mylar by dissolv-
ing the adhesive.
