SUBJECT
SUBJECT
We have had problems with one machine not
lining the correct face up and struggled with all
the usual remedies with no success. We tested
the microswitches, diodes, wires off. All to no
avail.
The Dynamo HS-4 cabinet has been a real asset
to the business of kit games. It's been my expe-
rience that games will earn more in this over-
sized cabinet. And since I've purchased a 4-
player control panel from Dynamo, this cabinet
will be the game housing for the 1990's.
SOLUTION
After many hours we tracked • it down. Other
operators beware! Under the playfield there is a
small relay board described in the manual as a
lamp PCB.
PRECAUTION
This cabinet does have one major flaw. however.
On early models, if you drop the marquee down
the back while installing the game, it would snap
off the back of the CRT.
This is most definitely not a lamp relay, it con-
trols the head movement clockwise and
anticlockwiseThis is where we had a bad solder
on the relay terminal.
Not only will you have to buy a new tube, or
possibly an entire monitor, but you could very
easily harm your employee.
NOTE
SOLUTION
Save yourselves some time and mark your
manuals accordingly!
Needless to say, I feel some sort of protection
should be provided for this potentially danger-
ous area at the neck of the picture tube.
