same thing would occur so I investigated further.

SUBJECT
PROBLEM
After seeing two of these puppies doing the srune
thing I guess I can discount the "Well, that's
wierd" theory and assume it's a real problem.
Operator's lament: Is there a way to omit the
offensive sounding remarks from our Williruns
High Impact grunes? My # 1 Best location just
demanded I remove this grune, and it makes
money. It sounds like "I'm gonna F-you up!"
SYMPTOM
Ticket out meter pulses • continually even in
diagnostic mode.
CAUSE
Most probably a variable that has been goofed in
the battery backed RAM.
SOLUTION
Remove one terminal of the battery from the
board and let sit for a few seconds, then reinstall.
It will cause a complete reinitialization of the
system "curing" the problem (until it happens
again!).
FACTORY RESPONSE
The phrase was recorded as 'Tm gonna BUST
you up." We apologize for the (common) miscon-
ception of its content.
The digitization is not all that bad (please listen
to it again) but context and perception are every-
thing. We are unhappy about the confusion and
are sincerely sorry about offending anyone.
SOLUTION
Anyway, you don't care about the interpretation,
you just want to get back to the business of
making your games profitable, so here's the
remedy.
You need to have Revision 5 or later of the
software. In the grune adjustment section there
is an adjustment called "Language Control"
which you need to set to "ON". This will remove
this phrase, and any others that have been
questioned.
If you don't have Rev. 5, it is available through
your Williams distributor.
