Introducing the
Dynamo
BENCH/PORTABLE MULTIMETER
POWER PLUS!
Dynamo's newest innovation - the
POWER PLUS, a power supply for the
90's will increase your capacity and
keep your games going longer!
UNIQUE CASE DESIGN
The front panel of the Fluke 37 slopes 15 degrees.permitting easy
viewing. A storage compartment for test leads and small acces-
sories is built into the case. A carrying handle is molded into the
case.
POWER
The Fluke 37is battery powered. Typical battery life is 1000 hours.
Also, works with the optional Fluke A81 battery eliminator.
MIN•MAX & RELATIVE MODES
Min-Max stores the highest and lowest digital readings, allowing
you to monitor a signal for seconds, or days. The relative mode
remembers a reading and shows the change (difference) between
it and any following readings.
3200-CoUNT DIGITAL DISPLAY, 31-SEGMENT ANALOG BAR GRAPH
Better accuracy and resoltution than a conventional 3-1/2 digit
(1999 count) DMM, updated two times per second. Bar graph
makes dynamic measurements such as peaking, nulling, zero
adjustments and capacitor checking. Updates ten times faster than
digital readout.
• 150 watts , 15 amps at 5
volts increases capacity
for growth.
TOUCH HOLD
• Adapts to either 110 or
220 currents for
operation in any
country.
The meter captures the measurement, beeps, and locks it on the
digital display until you're ready to view it. Automatically updates
with each new measurement.
AUDIBLE CONTINU1TY/D10DE TEST
• External 15 amp
fuse and EMI
filters offer
increased protection.
Wiring, diode and transistor checks can be done quickly without
looking at the display.

Video Ga111e Sales For 1991
The Future Is Now?
Lany Carlat, editor of Toy & Hobby World, was
quoted in a recent edition of the Philadelphia
and white. But their prices are about twice Grune
Boy's - up to $180.
Inquirer.
THIS YEAR lHINGS SHOULD BE VERY INTERESTING.
Nintendo predicts that in 1991 their sales will be
down - instead of the 62 million new game
cartridges sold in 1990, they're expecting to sell
only 50 million next year. This might open up the
boys' toy market again for toys, or at least for
healthy competition from other video-game
makers. "You're going to see everyone trying to
knock off Nintendo," said Carlat.
Toe new video battleground might be over
something known as the 16-bit machine - which
could end up being to existing video games what
compact discs are to records.
What does all this mean for Coin-op Video? What
will the future bring? Hopefully, some.fresh ideas
and new technology into our Industry. They say
competition brings out the best in everybody ...
We'll see. (ed.)
The New Year:
Our Year?
Bill Johnston
Johnstons Videos
Buffalo, New York
SUBJECT
Nintendo makes what is known as an 8-bit
machine. Next year its competitors - Sega, Atari
and NEC - are all expected to push their 16-bit
units, which offer dramatically better graphics
and arcade-quality sound (usually at twice the
price).
Politically optimistic forecast by Buffalo Bill.
1991
President Bush wins negotiations, Saddam re.,-
treats and gives price concessions on oil or free
oil to compensate USA for Desert Shield, as
United Nations demands are met.
No one expects Nintendo to roll over and die.
Carlat believes the company will introduce its
16-bit machine next year packaged with Super
Mario Brothers N, which in terms of video an-
ticipation ranks right up there with the Second
Coming.
USA offers trade agreements as we reciprocate in
an oil deal. USA national confidence in a presi-
dent will never be higher as the national
economy goes wild this Spring when the troops
come home.
"They're really excellent marketers," said Carlat.
"Whatever they do will not surprise me."
Car sales and home sales up, amusement ma-
chine earnings go to new highs.
Another battle is expected to be fought over
portable units. These same Nintendo rivals have
introduced - or soon will begin marketing- hand-
held portables to compete with dominant
Nintendo Grune Boy.
The dead year from Spring 1990 to Spring 1991
will pass into a new blockbuster year if both the
political climate is cured and a monster earner is
hatched simultaneously in Spring/early Sum-
mer 1991.
Some of these rival units will feature color and
sound superior to Grune Boy, which is in black
To a prosperous 1991: Happy New Year. and
may all your cashboxes be overflowing!
