PROBLEM
The gun is binding up when moving. The grease
had hardened and bound the shaft through the
playfield flange.

The real cause of the problem is a misalignment
between the centering flange and the drive motor
assembly.

• Remove the gun, motor assembly
and playfield flange from the game
• Then enlarge the holes in the
playfield to provide movement of the
flange for proper alignment.
• The center hole must be enlarged
as well as the mounting holes.
• Reassemble the gun with new
grease and align so no binding oc-
curs.

Putting Challenge Playfield Modification .~

PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Structural plastic angles becoming detached from
plastic backing material.
Effective 8/1/91 all playfields have a mechanical
fastening system installed on the plastic angles to
keep the plastic angle and playfield attached in the
event of adhesive failure.
Repair/update kits are available at

INSTRUCTIONS
A. Drill 4-1/8" holes in loca-
tions shown (1,2,3,4) - one
inch from edge of brace.
B. Insert 4 - #6-32xl/2"
screws. and 4- #8 flat washers
from the carpet side.
C. Secure with 4 - 6/32
Nylock nuts.

NOTE
If playfield braces are loose, re-glue
and let dry (approx. 8-10 hours) us-
ing PVC pipe cement before fasten-
ing.
Use of any other glue will damage
plastic. Repair kits are available
from I.C.E. upon request.
